每日步行八千步,人人健康精神好!

呢句口號你一定聽過,咁你平時又多唔多行路返工返學?英國早就有人發起 Walk to School步行運動,鼓勵父母同子女每個禮拜至少步行返學一次,參加嘅小朋友可以得到獎章作鼓勵。步行返學可以趁機當做運動,加強彼此溝通,又可以紓緩交通擠塞問題,仲減低交通引起嘅碳排放,簡直就係一舉多得!
最後一個禮拜「#一個地球大行動」主題係持之以「行」。合作機構 香港女童軍總會 提議大家,即使工作或上學地點比較遠,亦可嘗試以步行或單車取代部分短程路線,觀察同捕捉社區面貌,隨時大有收穫!

Healthy steps for a healthy world!

You may have heard this slogan before, but how often do you walk to school or to work? In the UK, the Walk to School campaign encourages parents to walk their children to school at least once a week. Children who take part in the campaign are rewarded with a collectible WoW badge. Walking to school not only helps children exercise more, it increases mutual communication, reduces congestion around schools and of course – lowers carbon emissions! 
The theme of the last week of our #OneEarthMission is Transportation. Our partner, the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association, has a suggestion: even if your workplace or school is a far from your home, you can still walk or cycle part of the route instead of taking transportation. Use this opportunity to observe the city and capture unforgettable moments, you never know – you may discover something amazing during your walk!
